Arbaeen Short Film Festival

The festival will be organized under the leadership of the Faculty of Fine Arts at University of Hilla, with the participation of relevant universities in Iran and Iraq.

The festival aims to present the authentic narrative of Arbaeen through the universal language of art, taking a small but meaningful step toward bringing Arbaeen and the message of Imam Hussein (peace be upon him) to a wider global audience.

The festival will have a secretariat in Iran and another in Iraq. Submissions from each country will undergo an initial evaluation by the respective secretariat. A joint judging committee will then conduct the final evaluation of the shortlisted works from both secretariats and select the outstanding and winning films.

The festival’s closing ceremony will be held during the Arbaeen pilgrimage next year.
