Establishing a joint voluntary scientific platform between Jaber Ibn Hayyan University of Medical and Pharmaceutical Sciences and interested universities and researchers from the Islamic Republic of Iran, with the aim of coordinating research and field projects related to the Arbaeen pilgrimage, particularly in the areas of mass-gathering medicine, public health, water and food safety, medication management, infectious diseases, heatstroke, environmental sustainability, and the use of artificial intelligence in crowd management.

The platform will facilitate the formation of joint Iranian-Iraqi research groups, the integrated collection of data and information during the Arbaeen pilgrimage, the training of students and volunteers, and the implementation of comparative research that leads to practical findings, outputs, and recommendations, ultimately contributing to improving pilgrims’ health and the quality of services provided to them.
